Some folks need to grow up

Others need to wise up 

Still more need to show up

Even more need to stand up 

Those who choose to keep complaining and messing up 

Need to have a seat and shut the hell up!

WE may not realize it but there are many watching what we say and or do. Those folks may not say anything to you personally but they have much to say when things hit the fan or after a tragedy happens.

Sharing the Shine!

Something to think about:

When you have been there for others even in the midst of your own storms you will learn who would do the same when you find yourself on the receiving end.

When people show their true selves, believe they are exactly who they portray to be.  All is well when they are receiving what you are giving even when you have little to give.  When they have little to give you are on your own because they chose to keep what they had for themselves.

It is OK to walk away and never look back because someone is out there waiting for you to be their new beacon who will appreciate the light you bring to their dark world.  Many will be willing to share the shine when they see your light dimming!

Most injuries will hurt before they heal; in life, we must give our injured spirits and souls time to recover.  The damage reaches the phase where it may have a scab; stop picking at it opening the old wound.  Once again the same applies to our lives.  We cannot heal if we keep picking at the old wound.

Divine Intervention Is Knocking

Divine intervention (through my eyes and personal experience)

One of the things that many people wish they had more of is time. In the event things do not work out many need time to make them right. Others have such a beautiful life that they want more time to enjoy the moments. Without divine intervention none of the scenarios could happen.

I will be starting a new journey in my life next month "on my birthday" but before that I will be spending the weekend before with my sisters and friends; we will be replenishing and refreshing our hearts, minds, spirits and souls at our very first sisterhood retreat.

Some may be asking how I am tying all of this together. The answer is simple. Several weeks’ prior my world was torn apart; my soul was wounded, my heart broken and my spirit crushed. I waited patiently for GOD to show me why and what his plan was for me. Turns out he had to remove some obstacles and distractions from my life; he had to bring me to a better, stronger place.

When this leg of my journey is over, a new life will be waiting for me at the end of this road called destiny. Nothing will be the same; everything will be better. To look at the events, the ladies voted to have the retreat on my birthday weekend, then I got the call that not only was I accepted into school; they had an opening to start on my birthday! My doubts tried to hold me back but divine intervention sent an angel to whisper in my ear and as reinforcement another came along to validate the decision to not wait until next year.

Our FOCUS for today: Not to ignore what divine intervention brings us; it will bring the time we need to make the right things happen.

I Am vs. My Name Is!

I am vs. my name is.

Have you ever thought about how different the impact of using the words I am are in contrast to saying my name is? Let me paint a picture for you. I was driving down the road on an early morning, as usual my mind was pondering the meaning of my existence and the impact I have on the lives of those I had come across.

I thought about how many speaking engagements I had done and about some of the conversations I have been a part of. somehow I thought about how I began speaking in each scenario. When I am the teacher, educator and mentor "I am" C. Maria Wall. In contrast when I am in the midst of a casual conversation, if asked, my name is C. Maria Wall.

When we are in a place of brokenness we need to have those words that re-ignite our spirits; we are not the broken pieces that our circumstances have convinced us that we are.

Therefore "I AM" C. Maria Wall yes I have been knocked down kicked, hated, talked about, lied upon, abused and excused, BUT "I AM" still standing; I shall rise again like the phoenix from the ashes.

Remember that "my name is" C. Maria Wall and "I am" a precious gem on the planet.

Knowing When To Stay Grounded!

I have been up and down all night: really do not feel like making this journey today BUT here I am doing what I do. Might as well enjoy the AC at work instead of staying home using my own ;)

They say it will be a scorcher today; one of the hottest days this year as far as the heat index. Days like today remind us that there are times we just need to stay grounded. As the old saying goes many of are are just flying all over the places trying to keep up with those that have; we try to keep up appearances too.

WE learned in school that heat tends to rise so why not stay down at ground level and find some SHADE today, Keep things simple and keep our loads light today.

Our FOCUS for today: Make sure the SHADE we are throwing today is upon ourselves!

Today is all about knowing your worth. Many of us have convinced ourselves to believe the perceptions and view others have of us. STOP IT! As long as we allow others to treat us like they view us we will never receive what we deserve; we will always be the ground base lifting and carrying others who are not worthy of our efforts. As long as you continue to accept crumbs you will never get your piece of the pie or slice of the cake!
