Aids Memorial Quilt viewing and reception

[ The AIDS Memorial Quilt returns to Washington, D.C. next week during the Smithsonian Folklife Festival on the National Mall. The 48,000 panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt are a tangible demonstration of love, loss, life and hope. Join the Black Women's Health Imperative, National Council of Negro Women and Common Threads, on National HIV Testing Day - Wednesday, June 27, to view the quilt together, share our thoughts, reflections and stories and attend a free reception and discussion. To view the quilt, meet us at the Smithsonian Metro on the blue and orange lines, located at 1200 Independence Avenue SW, Washington, D.C., at one of the following times: 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. Look for the Black Women's Health Imperative and National Council of Negro Women signs at the Metro. Our reception and discussion will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the National Council of Negro Women, located at 633 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. We hope you can join us!]
